OK... with Acadia, the shops, the vistas, the bars, the restaurants... maybe your itinerary is stacked... or maybe you are on a mission to find 'chill-ville' and just want the vacation and all the splendor of letting your hair down just happen...
Well, we happened upon such an unusual event. Picture this, active athlete (can't sit still) and I happend to recognize some years ago that food is a good thing. Work hard/play hard/ eat good/ live long/ laugh loud.
Well along the 'eat good' path, I happend upon Chef Lou Keifer who has traveled the world, picking the brains of the most talented food artists along the way and happily/ without precocious gallantry showed us some of his secrets.
Check this out: While the kids 12/10/8 made like fishes in the pool with my Brother in law watching/reading/ not really doing anything but bore some unexpected guest with stories of his favorite athletes...
We were introduced to a REALLY interesting perspective on live herbs/ food prepartion tips and techniques/ the 'zen' of cooking and finally a sample of a PHENOMENAL culinary expert at work... and guess what>>> A REGULAR GUY who appreciates life and the time we set aside to learn from him!
Totally good time/ fun/ interesting and delicious interlude in the myriad of things we could have been doing. After that we did a half day hike/ family photo on Parkman and the splendorofthe Somes Fjord... Amazing.
Great Day/ Great time atthe Bar Harbor Inn... and can't say enough about the staff and their attention to detail around the guests feeling special.
THANK YOU!!! Would do it again a heartbeat!!
