Spring has arrived in Bar Harbor!

Spring has FINALLY arrived here in Bar Harbor! We have been enjoying the sunshine and soft breeze off Frenchmen Bay the last few days and it has been fabulous. Town is beginning to bustle, Acadia and coastal tours are in full swing, and we couldn't be happpier!

This winter was a pretty long one, but here at the Inn we were busy renovating many of our guest rooms. Our awesome maintenance crew gutted and cleaned most of our Main Inn rooms and suites, replacing the balconies, furniture, paint, rugs, curtains and even artwork. The feedback from returning guests has been great so far and we can't wait to show them off this season.

We also updated the porcupine room carpet to a lovely rich blue and gold that compliments the phenominal view. Speaking of the view, we have seen those gorgeous maroon sails of the Margaret Todd gracing the Bay during cruises. If you haven't ever been, we love the sunset cruise!

We look forward to another great summer season in Bar Harbor and hope you will stop in for a visit. For anyone who has visited our beautiful Island, we love to see photos tagged on our Facebook page!

Renovations at the Bar Harbor Inn

The Bar Harbor Inn and Spa would like to share some exciting news about the renovations and restoration projects currently in progress over the winter while we are closed.

The Main Inn building will be receiving a brand new entrance and the exterior along the pool and gardens will also be under construction. The restoration project will give the building a fresh look while still maintaining the same historic style of the Main Inn.

19 rooms located on the 2nd floor of our Newport building along with 8 rooms in the Landing section of the Main Inn building will be receiving a complete renovation.

The 27 rooms will be redesigned and feature classic blue tones with rich gold and cream color accents. The bedding, upholstery, carpet and lighting will all be replaced. This Traditional Seaside style is part of the Bar Harbor Inn’s plan for renovating all of the rooms on the property in the near future.

The 19 2nd floor rooms of the Newport Building will also be receiving brand new composite deck railing on the balconies and all 38 rooms in the Newport Building will have brand new ceramic tile flooring in the bathrooms.

Lastly, the Ocean Front Lodge bathtubs and other fixtures in 49 bathrooms on the 1st and 2nd floor queen rooms will all be replaced and updated.
